River Rock Cafe in Bay City

Tried them out for breakfast.Hashbrowns were overcooked/burnt and with way too much oil.My Western omelette came out barely warm. It was basically cold. As I ate, the middle was slightly warmer. But then came the egg shell pieces.3 straight bites, with egg shells.The rest of our party enjoyed their food.Mine.... not so much.

It was pretty good but the font kinda ruined the vibe. I hate to say it but it's just true. I would give 5 stars but Times New Roman is the only option here. How dare they ruin my entire night with these clashing fonts. Dont they know anything about basic marketing?? *Sigh*Loved the loaf though.👍

Great food casual atmosphere! We had a great time and a great meal! Reasonably priced.

They get busier and busier every weekend it seems. Those ladies there handle it and make sure everyone is taken care. I highly recommend to stop in here not only for the amazing food, but some of the best service in town.

The staff was very friendly and helpful the beer was ice cold and the food was not just good but very Inexpensive for what you got. This is just a great place to visit.

My FAVORITE place for a huge breakfast. Super friendly staff and not very busy or loud during the morning or day. Typical night time bar crowd. Breakfast is on point and also daily specials on lunch and dinner. Beer is cheap and sports about 18 on tap. Highly recommended.

Not impressed by food coming out on styrofoam plates. My wet burrito was melted into the plate.

I thought the quantity value for the food was really good. Sad to see it's for sale. Beer special was a bonus.

Always get good "bar food" here, fish & chips and a bacon cheeseburger w/fries-fries are great-friendly wait staff and lots of vintage music posters & memorabilia to look at. Always a billiards game going on and regulars at the bar "Hi Norm!"😆

Chicken gyro was very good. My wife had a burger that was very good as well. Prompt service, prices were very reasonable.

The River Rock has a great breakfast!! Large quantities with a quality price! The staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommended. Cool retro rock and roll theme too!

Love the food here, and the service is very good. Our table hadn't been cleaned yet when we sat down, but as it was seat yourself we were to blame for this. The table was promptly cleaned, and our order was taken. The food as I said was great, but it was also nice to hit on some Keno numbers and have it for free.

Came in because we were recommended by friends to eat there. Waitress came to get our drink order & took 10 minutes to get our drinks. We asked her to take our keno tickets up & when she got back we asked for a few more minutes to order. Well 20 minuets later she still hadn’t made it back. They were not busy by any means (maybe 2 other tables) and the girl standing at the end of the bar said she couldn’t help us place our order. There was also a couple that came in after us and she took their order for food & drinks & didn’t even check on our table when we were sitting at the table right next to them. I paid for our drinks even though I wanted to just walk out. We ended up going somewhere else to eat. We will not be coming back & I will be making sure to tell anyone else to go there.

The service was good. Prices were decent. The atmosphere was laid back. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there was nothing that really made it stand out.

I love this place!! They make one of the best Long Island Ice Teas in the city. Staff is super friendly and the food is great. Even when it's busy the service is excellent. The waiters, waitresses and bartenders know how to take care of you. Go right now!

They have me a ton of food and it was really tasty.

This was the second time we've eaten here. Both times the food has been great. Our server tonight was also great, he was friendly and had a great sense of humor. After our food was delivered one of the cooks come out and told us our food was made with love. He and our server made our night. Also as a concert junkie, I love all the concert posters. We'll be back!

I hate to have to feel this way, especially with how cool the atmosphere was. But, the nachos came out on a partially MELTED styrofoam plate that had been microwaved. Then within the nachos, we found a burnt twist tie that had also gone through the microwave! They removed it from the bill, and were polite about it. But watch out for foreign objects from the kitchen!!

The bar itself was nice enough. Very eclectic design with all types of music posters all over the walls. At first the server was very attentive but once the food came we didn't see her again until I was able to get her attention while she was cleaning another table. Food wasn't particularly good but the major downside was the service, or lack thereof.

Pretty slow service, we didn't get helped for about 10 minutes on a slow day. Then they brought me a baked potato after I had ordered fries and then for my refill of mountain dew she brought me a lemonade.

Good food and they really treated the Grandkids great.
